This new title from Florian Fay (Greenville 1989, In the Footsteps of Marie Curie…) promises memorable games full of twists and turns, all in less than 20 minutes. Available in March 2026 (France), it is aimed at both casual players and enthusiasts looking for intense interaction.
A simple and effective concept
Epic Melee is a clever card game designed for 3 to 6 players. The game is played in 6 rounds, each divided into 3 phases:
- Simultaneous champion selection: each player selects two cards, one revealed to the other players, the other remaining face down.
- Passing the torch: this initiative token passes from player to player, forcing you to choose your final champion from your two cards before passing it to the player of your choice.
- Resolution of combat: depending on the champions’ powers, the two winners collect loot tokens.
Of course, the champions’ abilities will allow you to manipulate the outcome of each round, disrupting strategies and the balance of power…
The game of power
Epic Melee isn’t just strategic: it plunges players into a world where scheming and chaos rule. Each champion has their own ability that can change everything in an instant: swap the loot of the 1st and 2nd players with the Golem, overturn the podium rankings with the Little People, or negotiate an alliance for more power with the Turtles.
There are 9 of them, and they will lead you to victory…Or to your downfall! It’s up to you to make the most of your hand to win the precious loot.
