In 2025, the Gosu X Championship goes truly international, which means it will be worldwide! Qualifying rounds will take place on Board Game Arena (BGA) between March and October. The final will take place in November on BGA.
The qualifier tournaments
On BGA, the season will feature 8 qualifying tournaments, spread between March and October 2025. All you need is the minimum ELO to register.
Under 128 registered players :
- The top 4 players qualify for the Championship final.
- The top 8 win a half-season 2025 promotional booster containing an assortment of full-art Heroes and Troops cards with selective foil. The 2025 season includes two half-season boosters (1st one between march and june, 2nd one between july and october).
- Note on boosters: for logistical reasons, boosters for the first half-season will be sent at the end of the half-season (after the June tournament).

From 128 registered players, the number of qualifiers and prizes will depend on the number of tournament registrations, with a minimum of 4 qualifiers and 8 promotional boosters.
If one of the qualifiers has already qualified through a previous tournament, the next player qualifies, and so on until 4 players have qualified.
Qualifier tournament format

The qualifiers are all played in turn-based mode and are divided into two phases:
- A Swiss round phase, in which you face several opponents.
- A single-elimination bracket for those who have passed the Swiss rounds.
Tournament rules and FAQ
The following specific tournament rules apply to the qualifiers and the Final:
- The Abunakkashii and Rukgnarl Bonesreaper expansions are part of the Championship pool.
- When playing Fenghuang, the player must reveal the Phoenix card to his opponent before placing it at the top of his deck.
- Genious (PHO) now works like Orgah (GS), you must choose a clan from your discard pile (this modifies FAQ #13).
- When Abunakkashii (ABU) comes into play, you must choose a feasible effect if possible. You cannot choose to take a corruption token from your opponent if he has none and you have the option of giving him one, and vice versa.
