Immerse yourself in the world of LEDA

In the forgotten realms of Leda, the little spacies have awakened. Cats, Pandas, Sharks, Scorpions, and many more… Each animal clan has developed their own civilization, language, and ambitions. Through a strange energy grid pulsing in rhythm with the world, they build, evolve, clash – and seek to impose their vision of the future. In this world balanced on a knife’s edge, war is not evrything; cunning, adaptability, memory, and deep bonds with nature are the keys to triumph. Who will carve name among the legends of Leda ?

Innovative and asymmetric mechanics

LEDA is an asymmetric card game for two players, where each player embodies an animal clan with their own rules, objectives, and playstyle. Each player begins with a 4×4 grid of tiles, which they will modify during the game by upgrading them and playing cards onto them.

On each turn, the Action tile determines a zone of the grid to activate (row, column, square, etc), triggering the effects located in that zone. Players must optimize their activations, manage their food (the main resource), and improve their engine in order to fulfill their clan’s unique victory condition – all while racing for military victory!

The core box contains 4 clans (Sharks, Scorpions, Pandas and Cats), but 4 expansions are already scheduled, the first one being the Snake clan.

Sharks are confrontational and aggressive. They like to move in packs to improve their abilities and favor an offensive strategy to defeat their opponents by force.
Scorpions are builders: they must open four portals at each corner of their territory to win. To do so, they will try to slow down their opponents’ game to give themselves time to achieve their goals. They play on deserts to gain more and more resources.
Pandas must reunite their King and Queen to win the game. They rely on their Awakening ability to gradually gain power. Versatile, they can adapt to any situation.
The Cats want to craft 3 Rings, which means manipulating their deck to keep their key cards in hand. They are the only ones with rotation cards, which have varying degrees of power depending on which side is active.

How to play LEDA?

When setting up, lay out your grid of 16 basic tiles, choose your clan, and prepare your deck.

Each round, players will go through 3 stages of play.

Activation: The active player reveals an Action tile and chooses the area that will be activated for both players (row, column, or specific area). You then trigger the effects of the cards in that area (resource production, card draw, tile upgrades, etc.).
Military Conflict: Resolve the outcome of the military conflict.
Organization: Play one of your cards in hand in exchange of the necessary resources or swap the position of two of your cards/tiles on your grid.

Manage your resources and cards wisely to achieve the victory specific to your clan or gain military supremacy before your opponent!

LEDA collection

LEDA is a core box for two players containing four clans, but also expansions offering new clans, which are scheduled to be released every three to four months. The first expansion highlights the Snake clan and their ability to surprise their opponents!

How to setup the tiles?

Each player places their tiles randomly, without them necessarily being a mirror of the opponent’s setup.

What happens when the fruit stock is empty?
Fruits are considered infinite. You can use any substitute to represent them (cubes, coins, tokens).

How do -1 and -2 effects work?
This is not a passive effect. This effect activates when the card is in the activated zone of the turn.
When this happens, you can immediately play a card. Its Food cost is decreased by the amount indicated by the pictogram on the card.

If I play a card during the Activation phase, can I activate it immediately?
Yes, if the card you play is played inside the zone currently activated.
Be wary, each space (whether it is a card or a tile) can only be activated once each turn.
