Once again this year, Sorry We Are French will be attending Europe’s largest board game fair: Spiel Essen! The event will take place from October 22 to 25, 2026. Check out our lineup for this year!
Our booths ?
That’s right—this year our booth will be split into two sections!
- On the Gigamic side, we’ll be showcasing LEDA and its new clan expansion: the Snakes.
- On the Blackrock Games side, you’ll be able to check out Greylune and Epic Melee.
- These two booths will be right next to each other, so it won’t be hard to find us. We’ll be in Hall 6, along with the rest of Hachette Boardgames (6K400 and 6F300).
Greylune : our brand new Eurogame
Greylune will be our big release at Spiel Essen. Following its sensational debut at Gencon this summer (ranking in the Top 2 on BGG’s “Hotness” list for over a week), this new game by William Attia (known for Caylus and Spyrium) is tailor-made for strategy game lovers.
In Greylune, you play as adventurers seeking to amass as much prestige as possible to forge your legend. By placing your villagers on the streets of Greylune, you can try to recruit companions, buy items, or visit various buildings. All of this is to equip yourself for adventure and then recount your exploits in the city’s taverns!
You’ll need to navigate between a system for placing/removing workers and an asymmetrical seasonal cycle to achieve your goals.

LEDA and its first expansion
LEDA is coming back with the Serpents clan expansion. Following the success of its French release, the Spiel Essen fair will give a much wider audience the chance to discover our latest two-player game.
In LEDA, you take the head of an animal clan of your choice and try to fulfill one of your two victory conditions before your opponent does. Each clan offers its own set of unique cards, mechanics, and ways to win the game. It’s a completely asymmetrical card and tableau-building game!
The Snakes expansion offers you the chance to lead this new clan. How does it work? You place your cards face down on your grid, and you can reveal them when the right area is activated, catching your opponent off guard! You’ll need to be cunning to lead this clan to victory.

Epic Melee : a fast paced arena battle
Released last spring, Epic Melee is a game for 3 to 6 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. You have 6 rounds to collect more loot than your opponents by sending your champions into the Edara arena! You’ll need to manage your hand of cards wisely to emerge victorious.
